(ctvisit.com) (liveartwalk.com) Organizers say more than 40 artists will create work live along a one-mile route, with painting, illustration, carving, quilting and mixed-media demonstrations planned throughout the afternoon. (liveartwalk.com) (ctvisit.com) The walk is returning for a second year after its May 2025 debut, which organizers say launched as the first public event tied to Farmington’s newly designated Cultural District. (farmcommchest.org) (liveartwalk.com) This year’s event is being framed as both an arts outing and a downtown draw, with organizers and local officials saying the 2025 walk brought visitors from across Connecticut and increased traffic for nearby businesses. (farmcommchest.org) The 2026 walk is also expanding. Farmington Community Chest awarded the event a $5,000 grant, and organizers said that funding will support equipment, safety measures, outreach and promotion. (farmcommchest.org) Organizers said they expect about 50 artists this year, with hosts including Miss Porter’s School, First Church of Christ Congregational, the Farmington Historical Society and Barney Library, along with residents opening porches and yards as art sites. (farmcommchest.org) (liveartwalk.com) Visitors can attend free, explore at their own pace, and park at Barney Library, Noah Wallace Elementary School and side streets between Main Street and Garden Street; the route is also accessible from the Farmington Canal Heritage Bike Trail. (ctvisit.com) RSVPs are being encouraged through the event website, and organizers are also asking attendees to consider bringing a canned food item for the Farmington Food Pantry at 75 Main Street.
