Michelin expands U.S.
The 2026 Michelin Guide added six Los Angeles restaurants to its California coverage and five new Bay Area venues joined the guide this week, widening the map for serious diners (latimes.com) (sfist.com). These additions are already changing dining itineraries for spring — especially for LA and Bay Area food trips where new entries can mean easier reservations than star-level spots (latimes.com).
The six Los Angeles entrants named by Michelin this week are Corridor 109, Firstborn, Lapaba, Little Fish Melrose Hill, Lugya’h, and Zira Uzbek Kitchen. (guide.michelin.com) Corridor 109 is billed as an intimate 11-seat counter focused on fish and Japanese-sourced seafood in Melrose Hill, while Lapaba is described as serving reimagined Italian classics with Korean influences. (guide.michelin.com) Michelin’s Bay Area additions include Wolfsbane, Restaurant Naides, Dingles Public House, La Cigale, and Yeobo, Darling in Menlo Park. (sfist.com) Restaurant Naides opened in mid-December in the former Sons & Daughters space on Bush Street and has been praised for an 11- to 15-course Filipino tasting menu led by chef Patrick Gabon. (sfist.com) Wolfsbane, led by partners Rupert and Carrie Blease, opened in Dogpatch with a hyper-seasonal multicourse tasting format that Michelin inspectors highlighted for its precision and creative sauces. (sfist.com) Michelin notes these entries will appear with a “New” symbol on its site and app, additions are made twice a year, and the tire company reserves formal Star and Bib Gourmand distinctions for its annual ceremony (whose timing has varied—mid-July 2023, early August 2024, mid-June 2025).
