RedCloud Activates AI Layer for Global Trade

RedCloud, a technology company building infrastructure for global trade, announced it has surpassed 100,000 customers and is now deploying an 'agentic AI' layer across its network. The milestone signals a move towards intelligent automation in the logistics and trade-tech space.

RedCloud's founder, Justin Floyd, is a serial entrepreneur with a 25-year history of building and investing in tech companies that tackle major economic challenges. His motivation for RedCloud stems from witnessing his mother's struggles running a small shop in London, where she faced significant issues with supplies and inventory. This firsthand experience inspired him to create a technology platform to solve the inefficiencies and lack of transparency in global supply chains, particularly in fast-growing economies. The company's core offering is an "intelligent Open Commerce Platform" that connects Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) brands, distributors, and local merchants. It functions as a B2B marketplace, facilitating digital payments and providing marketing intelligence. To date, the platform has processed over $6.91 billion in trade value and supports more than 6,700 brands. RedCloud's business model is consumption-based, charging brands and distributors for transactions made on the platform. The newly activated "agentic AI" layer is designed to be more than just an analytical tool; it's embedded directly into the transaction layer of trade. This allows for the autonomous optimization of inventory, demand forecasting, and working capital allocation across the network. The AI models are trained on the platform's growing volume of trade data, which has surpassed $5.1 billion in cumulative trades. Under the hood, RedCloud's RedAI platform utilizes technologies from AWS Bedrock and NVIDIA. Their broader tech stack is diverse, employing languages like C#, Python, and Go, and leveraging cloud infrastructure from AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. While the company is headquartered in London and has a physical presence in Africa, Europe, and Latin America, specific operational details for India remain limited, though it is cited as a key emerging market for their services.
