Napa Valley's Pasta Lovers Club Emerges
Napa Valley's hottest new eatery isn't a traditional restaurant, but an exclusive, twice-monthly gourmet supper held in chef Sarah Heller’s Yountville home. The Pasta Lovers Club features a five-course Italian-inspired meal and is drawing Bay Area foodies for its unique, intimate approach.
Chef Sarah Heller previously honed her skills at Michelin-starred establishments like The French Laundry and Meadowood. Her husband, Jason Heller, is a Master Sommelier who has worked at prestigious wineries such as Harlan Estate. Together, they also operate a pasta company, selling fresh pasta to local restaurants and at Good Pantry in Napa. The Pasta Lovers Club, operating since last year, is one of a few supper clubs in the Bay Area, a concept that has gained popularity since the pandemic. The Hellers host the twice-monthly dinners in their Yountville home for 12 guests. Tickets sell out in as little as 15 minutes, driven by word-of-mouth and social media buzz. Yountville is known as the "Culinary Capital" of Napa Valley, boasting more Michelin-rated restaurants per capita than any other US destination. Beyond Pasta Lovers Club, other notable dining spots include The French Laundry, Bouchon, and Bottega. The town emphasizes a "passeggiata"—the art of strolling and enjoying the culinary scene. Supper clubs offer intimate dining experiences that prioritize community and connection, setting them apart from traditional restaurants. Diners are increasingly seeking unique and authentic culinary adventures. These supper clubs create a sense of exclusivity and foster genuine social connections.
