Seven Sisters World Expands

Pan Macmillan is returning to the world of the popular "Seven Sisters" series with a new book titled "Orlando." This expansion of the beloved universe will appeal to fans eager for fresh stories in a familiar setting.

The new installment, "Orlando," is penned by Harry Whittaker, the son of the original "Seven Sisters" author, the late Lucinda Riley. Whittaker previously co-authored the final book in the main series, "Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt," completing the saga his mother started. "Orlando" will shift focus to a reader-favorite character, the antiquarian bookseller Orlando Forbes, who was first introduced in "The Shadow Sister." The narrative will follow a dual timeline, delving into Orlando's personal story as he uncovers manuscripts from a forgotten Victorian author. The original "Seven Sisters" series, inspired by the mythology of the Pleiades star cluster, follows seven adopted sisters as they uncover their heritage after the death of their enigmatic billionaire father, Pa Salt. The eight-book series became a global phenomenon, selling over 50 million copies and translated into 40 languages. Lucinda Riley passed away in 2021 after a battle with cancer. She had entrusted the conclusion of the main series to her son, Harry, leaving behind detailed notes to ensure her vision for the finale, "Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt," was fulfilled. Plans are also in motion for a seven-season television adaptation of the popular book series.
