Lamborghini is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Miura's debut at the Geneva Motor Show on March 10, 1966. The Miura, a creation of engineers Gian Paolo Dallara, Paolo Stanzani, and test driver Bob Wallace, was initially developed as a prototype with a mid-mounted V12 engine, a concept inspired by racing prototypes. Ferruccio Lamborghini recognized its potential and green-lit further development, leading to the birth of the modern mid-engine supercar. The chassis was first displayed at the Turin Motor Show in 1965, attracting significant attention even before the body, designed by Marcello Gandini from Bertone, was complete. Lamborghini will commemorate the Miura's anniversary with a Polo Storico heritage tour across Northern Italy in May 2026. The 1972 P400 SV model fetched $6,000,000 at a Broad Arrow Amelia Island auction. The Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham from April 21-23 will feature major electric vehicle and concept reveals. Chery Commercial Vehicles will introduce its new DELIVAN electric commercial vehicle brand to the European market. Iveco plans to showcase its latest developments in sustainable commercial transport at the show. Kia is set to present its expanded PV5 range, including European premieres of two new body styles, highlighting the versatility of its Platform Beyond Vehicles. Kia's display will emphasize its network of PBV Approved Converters, specializing in solutions like racking and refrigeration. Ten vehicle, product, and technology launches are scheduled for the show's opening day.
