Dragon Quest roguelite pre‑reg
Square Enix opened pre‑registration for Dragon Quest Smash Grow, a new roguelite RPG mobile title, on March 17 — the announcement already drew attention on social platforms GameSpark X.
The project is co-developed by KLab alongside Square Enix, a partnership announced by KLab on Sept. 17, 2025. (klab.com) Square Enix ran a closed beta from Oct. 14–21, 2025 and accepted applications for that test via iOS TestFlight and Google Play through Oct. 2, 2025. (press.na.square-enix.com) Beta participation was capped at 30,000 tester slots across iOS and Android, according to coverage of the publisher’s test registration. (gamingonphone.com) Square Enix describes Smash/Grow’s core loop as “smashing” through hordes to collect random “Blessings” that alter builds and culminate in the series’ signature Coup de Grâce attacks. (thegamer.com) Outlets characterise the title as a free-to-play mobile gacha positioned for a global release window in 2026, with the company describing the game as an “intuitive and exhilarating roguelite RPG.” (thegamer.com) Square Enix also ran a social giveaway tied to the beta on X and Facebook, offering prizes such as a Metallic Items Gallery Erdrick Sword & Shield and Slime plushes as listed in the publisher’s promotional rules.
