BTS Dominates Global Pre-Orders

BTS's ARIRANG tops Spotify pre-saves at #1 and ranks #4 on Apple Music US pre-adds, while Jungkook leads male soloists globally with 8.7K social media engagement. The group continues to demonstrate massive international reach even during individual member activities.

The upcoming album, "ARIRANG," marks BTS's first group release in nearly four years, following a hiatus for the members to complete their mandatory military service. The album, scheduled for release on March 20, 2026, is their tenth overall studio album and has been described by the members as showcasing a more mature sound. Pre-order numbers for "ARIRANG" have already broken the group's previous records. Within the first week of availability, the album surpassed 4.06 million pre-orders. This figure eclipses the 3.42 million first-week pre-orders for their 2020 album, "Map of the Soul: 7." The high number of Spotify pre-saves and Apple Music pre-adds are significant industry metrics. These figures are used by labels and streaming platforms to gauge fan anticipation and can influence a release's placement on algorithmic playlists like Spotify's "Release Radar," boosting its visibility on release day. Even during the group's break, individual members have maintained a strong global presence. Jungkook, for instance, has become the fastest Asian solo artist to surpass 19.3 million followers on Spotify. His social media engagement is also notable, with his personal hashtag being one of the most used and viewed across multiple platforms. The album's release will be followed by the "Arirang World Tour," with over 70 dates scheduled across North America, Asia, and more, running from April 2026 into 2027. This marks the group's first full tour since their hiatus and is set to be their largest tour to date.
