RayNeo Launches Batman-Themed AR Glasses
AR wearables firm RayNeo unveiled the RayNeo Air 4 Pro smart glasses at MWC 2026, including a special Batman Edition. The new augmented reality glasses, which became available for purchase on February 27, represent another step in bringing AR tech to consumer markets.
The standard RayNeo Air 4 Pro model is priced at $299, with the special Batman "Justice Edition" available for $319. This pricing strategy positions the device as a more accessible entry point into the AR market compared to competitors like Xreal, whose recent comparable model, the Xreal 1S, is priced at $449. RayNeo is an brand incubated by TCL Electronics, a major Chinese consumer electronics company with a $3.3 billion market value. This connection provides RayNeo with significant manufacturing and R&D resources. The brand was founded in 2021 by Li Hongwei and operates as a legally independent entity. The company recently secured over $143 million in funding from investors that include state-owned telecom giants China Mobile and China Unicom. This strategic investment is aimed at integrating AR glasses with nationwide 5G networks and developing new content. The launch comes as the global smart glasses market is experiencing rapid growth. In the third quarter of 2025, global shipments increased by 74.1% year-over-year. Projections for China's smart glasses market alone anticipate a 77.7% year-on-year growth in shipment volume in 2026. RayNeo has quickly captured a significant portion of this expanding market, holding a 24% share of the global AR glasses market in the third quarter of 2025, according to Counterpoint Research. The Air 4 Pro glasses feature dual Micro-OLED displays, support for HDR10, and audio tuned by Bang & Olufsen, signaling a focus on media consumption and gaming. The glasses can project a virtual screen up to 201 inches, aiming to offer an immersive viewing experience.
