Qantas will operate the inaugural seasonal nonstop Sydney–Las Vegas service from 29 December 2026 through 12 March 2027 under flight numbers QF55 (SYD→LAS) and QF56 (LAS→SYD). (thetraveler.org)) QF55 is scheduled to depart Sydney at 21:00 and arrive in Las Vegas at 15:55 local time with a block time of about 13 hours 55 minutes, while QF56 will leave Las Vegas at 20:20 and arrive in Sydney at 06:35 (+2) with a block time of about 15 hours 15 minutes. (thetraveler.org)) The service will be operated on Qantas’ Boeing 787‑9 Dreamliner, with the type configured to carry roughly 236 passengers across 42 business, 28 premium‑economy and 166 economy seats. (simpleflying.com)) Qantas says the nonstop routing will cut up to five hours off typical itineraries that require connections via Los Angeles or San Francisco, and the carrier bills Las Vegas as its 101st destination on the network. (press.lvcva.com)) The seasonal schedule was explicitly timed to coincide with major Las Vegas events such as the Consumer Electronics Show and the NRL’s Las Vegas Festival, and Qantas has previously operated charters to Las Vegas for NRL fixtures to test demand. (press.lvcva.com)) Industry outlets report the new route will give Qantas a sixth U.S. gateway, and tickets went on sale immediately with reported return fares from about AU$1,099 on launch announcements.
