LER TechForce Buys Siemens Division

Workforce and engineering services firm LER TechForce has completed its acquisition of the Resource Solution division from Siemens Altair. The move is intended to strengthen LER's engineering and resource solution offerings.

Based in Columbus, Indiana, LER TechForce is a WBENC-certified woman-owned company that provides specialized engineering talent for sectors including automotive, aerospace, medical devices, and industrial automation. The company focuses on embedding engineers directly into client teams, offering services that range from contract and direct hire to scalable "Flex Teams" for specific projects. A key part of LER TechForce's model involves placing On-Site Managers with their deployed engineers to provide mentorship and real-time support. The company states this employee-focused approach results in retention rates 2-3 times higher than the industry average, ensuring project continuity for its clients. The acquired division comes from a business unit involved in a much larger corporate transaction. Its former parent, Altair Engineering, a major player in simulation, AI, and high-performance computing software, was acquired by Siemens in a deal valued at approximately $10 billion. As part of the deal, LER TechForce assumes ownership of the customer contracts and the professional staff that were part of the Siemens Altair Resource Solution division. LER TechForce CEO Janene Stotts emphasized that the acquisition is a strategic move to better integrate human talent with technology. The goal is to provide clients with the specialized workforce needed to support complex engineering and digital transformation projects.
