New Waterfront Restaurant to Open in San Francisco
Hi Neighbor Hospitality Group, known for its diverse culinary concepts in the Bay Area, has announced plans to open a new restaurant on the San Francisco waterfront. The group has not yet released the name, concept, or specific opening date for the new location. This expansion adds another high-profile dining option to the city's shoreline.
- The new restaurant will be located at 185 Berry Street in the Mission Bay neighborhood, directly across from Oracle Park. - Slated for a Fall 2026 opening, the restaurant is part of the China Basin development and will feature views of the Mission Creek channel. - The design, by architect Cass Calder Smith, includes a 4,400-square-foot space with floor-to-ceiling retractable windows, a lounge, reservable fire pits, and a private dining room. - Hi Neighbor Hospitality Group's Executive Chef Jason Halverson will oversee the menu, which is described as refined and designed for sharing, but not "over-the-top fine dining". - The hospitality group, which also runs the Michelin-starred 7 Adams, envisions a "fine dining–caliber experience" and plans to eventually add an on-site cafe. - This project is one of several new high-profile restaurants in the rapidly developing Mission Bay area, which has recently attracted major artificial intelligence office leases. - Hi Neighbor Hospitality Group, led by partners Ryan Cole, Tai Ricci, Jason Halverson, and Lucas Bierbower, currently operates six Bay Area restaurants. - The group, named "Restaurateurs of the Year" by San Francisco Magazine and the Golden Gate Restaurant Association, is also involved in developing food options for the historic Cliff House's reopening.
