Icona Pop Drops New Collab

Icona Pop announced "Ritual" ft. Daya dropping March 27 with an early listen link already generating 1.2K views. The Swedish duo continues their comeback with high-profile collaborations after their recent resurgence. This marks another strategic partnership pairing established dance-pop acts with rising stars.

The Swedish duo's comeback album "Club Romantech," their first in a decade, dropped in September 2023. The record was a result of the duo returning to Sweden during the pandemic and writing music daily, which they said "kept us alive." That 2023 album featured a slate of dance music stalwarts, including collaborations with Galantis, Sofi Tukker, and Joel Corry. It marked a significant return for Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo, whose last full album was 2013's "This Is... Icona Pop." Daya is no stranger to high-profile electronic collaborations, having won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording for her vocals on The Chainsmokers' 2016 hit "Don't Let Me Down." The song peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Pittsburgh-native singer first broke out in 2015 with her double-platinum debut single "Hide Away," which climbed to number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her follow-up single, "Sit Still, Look Pretty," also became a Top 40 hit. Daya's sound has evolved to incorporate more electronic elements, a shift showcased in her 2021 EP "The Difference" and 2022's "In Between Dreams." She released her sophomore full-length album, "'Til Every Petal Drops," in October 2025.
