NYU MFA shows announced

NYU Steinhardt’s 2026 MFA Thesis Exhibitions were scheduled in two parts — April 1–18 and May 6–23 — at 80WSE Gallery in Greenwich Village, spotlighting new contemporary artists. (hyperallergic.com)

Part I carries the title "Hoodwinked" and presents five MFA candidates — Nicholas Koby, Richard Medina, Roselynn Sadaghiani, Mario Saponaro, and Brooke Schneider. (steinhardt.nyu.edu) An opening reception for the Part I cohort is scheduled for 6–8 PM, and the event listing shows exhibition hours of 12 PM–6 PM on days it is on view. (steinhardt.nyu.edu) The gallery’s public exhibitions calendar lists a second MFA Thesis presentation for the Class of 2026 but does not publish a participating-artist roster for that slot on the page. (80wse.org) As context within the program’s scheduling pattern, NYU’s 2025 Part II opened with a May 7 reception from 6–8 PM and named five participating artists in that year’s roster. (steinhardt.nyu.edu) The 80WSE gallery is housed in the historic Benedick building at NYU and is described on the department site as the venue that annually hosts Steinhardt MFA thesis exhibitions. (steinhardt.nyu.edu) A concurrent BFA Senior Honors Studio show, "The Magician’s Choice," curated by 80WSE director Howie Chen, is listed on the department bulletin as on view through mid‑May alongside the student thesis programming.
