Dott and Segway Partner for Green Mobility in Milan
Micromobility operator Dott and personal mobility company Segway have teamed up to provide green transportation options for the Milan Winter Events 2026. Segway will supply Dott, a leading European operator, with its shared e-bike model for the events. The partnership aims to promote sustainable mobility in the city.
- The partnership will deploy 5,000 of Segway's Urban A200 shared e-bike model across Milan for the events. This large-scale deployment is a key part of the city's green mobility infrastructure for the international competition. - The Segway Urban A200 e-bike features a versatile "one-size-fits-most" frame, an upgraded battery system for higher utilization, and a smart dashboard with a cellphone holder and optional wireless charging. - Dott, which recently merged with TIER, operates in over 400 cities across more than 20 countries, with a combined revenue of €250 million, supporting 125 million annual trips. This partnership solidifies its position as a leading operator in Italy, where it already has a presence in major cities like Rome and Turin. - This initiative aligns with Milan's broader "Cambio" plan, a €250 million investment to create 750 kilometers of interconnected cycle paths by 2035. The goal is to make cycling the most convenient form of local transport and have 80% of homes within one kilometer of a protected cycle route. - To encourage use during the events, Dott is offering a "Champion Pass" for €2.99 per month, which provides unlimited rides on both e-bikes and scooters with a discounted rate. - The collaboration is built on previous technical cooperation between the two companies, with the Urban A200 model incorporating years of operational insights and user feedback. - Micromobility is a core component of the Milan Winter Events 2026's sustainability mission, which aims to reduce private car use and ease pressure on roads.
