Google Partnership on Visual AI Wins Awards

TechSee and Google have won two Gold Stevie Awards for their partnership in visual assistance technology. The recognition highlights the growing impact of visual AI in simplifying complex customer service interactions, particularly for smart home applications.

The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service recognized the partnership with Gold for Best Use of Omnichannel in Customer Service and Best Use of Technology in Customer Service, and a Bronze for Innovation in Customer Service. This year's competition considered over 2,100 nominations from organizations across 41 nations and territories, with winners chosen by the average scores of 150 professionals worldwide. The collaboration centers on integrating TechSee's visual assistance technology, Sophie Live, into Google's customer service for its smart home products. This allows support agents to see a customer's issue through their smartphone camera, eliminating the need for verbal descriptions of complex technical problems and leading to more accurate and confident resolutions. Before implementing visual assistance, support calls for complex smart-home devices could exceed 40 minutes, with agents relying solely on customers' descriptions. This often led to miscommunication, incorrect part replacements, and unnecessary device swaps. Early deployments of similar visual AI have shown a 10-25% reduction in repeat customer contacts and a 5-20% decrease in technician dispatches. The AI in customer service market is projected to grow from $12.06 billion in 2024 to $47.82 billion by 2030. This growth is driven by the technology's ability to reduce service operation costs by as much as 20% through automation and decreased repeat contacts. For agents, AI-powered assistance has been shown to cut average handling time by 27%. While consumers often prefer human interaction for customer service, 59% believe generative AI will significantly change how they interact with companies within the next two years. The key is often a blend of both; 78% of customers find it important to have the option to switch from an AI agent to a human one. TechSee, a global leader in Visual AI, holds numerous patents for its technology and supports over 30 million live and AI-powered sessions annually. The company partners with other major entities like Amazon Web Services, Oracle, and TELUS International, integrating its visual AI into a wide range of CRM and field service management platforms.
