Stoneridge Shopping Center in Pleasanton says Hollister, Maruwu Seicha and Onigilly Japanese Kitchen are all set to open later in 2026. (patch.com) Hollister is scheduled for the third quarter, according to the mall’s announcement. Maruwu Seicha, a Japanese tea shop, is planned for the first level, while Onigilly is also listed for a later-2026 opening. (patch.com) The new food tenants are narrowly focused concepts. Maruwu Seicha plans matcha lattes, matcha Americanos and hojicha lattes, while Onigilly’s menu centers on onigiri, the handheld Japanese rice balls sold with fillings like shrimp, salmon and mushrooms. (patch.com; whatnow.com) Onigilly’s Pleasanton site would be the Bay Area chain’s first East Bay location, giving Stoneridge a restaurant concept that has so far been concentrated elsewhere in the region. What Now San Francisco reported that no exact opening date had been released as of April 20. (patch.com; whatnow.com) The additions come after a busy 2025 at the mall. Pleasanton Weekly reported recent arrivals including Grind Coffeehouse, Pop Mart, Shiekh Shoes, Balabala, Carter’s and Funshare Arcade. (pleasantonweekly.com; whatnow.com) Stoneridge’s owner, Simon Property Group, has been pitching that mix as something broader than a clothes-only mall. Hoodline, citing Pleasanton Weekly and Patch, reported Simon leasing executive Ruben Perez said the goal is to make Stoneridge “more than a traditional retail setting.” (hoodline.com) That tenant shuffle is landing at a moment when Stoneridge is still anchored by national brands but also filling space with newer draws. Simon’s mall page says the center has more than 165 stores and restaurants, including Macy’s, H&M, Apple, Zara, lululemon, UNIQLO, POP Mart and LEGO. (simon.com) The next test is simple: whether new apparel, tea and quick-service food can pull more shoppers into Pleasanton later this year. For now, the mall has named the tenants, but only Hollister has a quarter-specific opening window. (patch.com; whatnow.com)
