New EDM Fest at Coachella Site
A new EDM event called “Head Trip” will be held at the Coachella site on October 10-11, featuring Calvin Harris, Skrillex, and Swedish House Mafia [https://wewriteaboutmusic.com/festivals/head-trip-festival-2026].
Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, is organizing this new event. It's scheduled for October 10-11 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA, the same location as Coachella. Head Trip is being billed as a "one-time-only, one-stage experience with no overlapping sets". This means attendees can see every artist without having to choose between conflicting set times. Besides the headliners, the lineup includes Peggy Gou b2b Four Tet, Dom Dolla b2b KETTAMA, and Seth Troxler b2b Ben Sterling. Floating Points' Sunflower Sound System will also make its U.S. debut, featuring a unique audiophile experience inside a mycelium-paneled dome. Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 13th. This event follows in the footsteps of Goldenvoice's previous specialized festivals like Power Trip and Desert Trip.
