Paris Baguette Opens in Richardson, TX

The global bakery café chain Paris Baguette opened a new location in Richardson, Texas, on February 27. The opening is part of the brand's ongoing U.S. expansion, which leverages its more than 4,000 worldwide units.

The new Richardson location is the 25th Paris Baguette in Texas and is operated by franchisees Sweta Goyal, Puneet Mittal, Mamta Singhal, and Rajneesh Singhal. This is the first of five cafes the two Dallas-based couples plan to open, born from their shared love for the brand. Though its name evokes the French capital, Paris Baguette was founded in South Korea in 1988. It is owned by the South Korean food and confectionery conglomerate SPC Group and first entered the U.S. market with a franchised unit in 2015. The company is aggressively expanding in North America, with a goal to reach 1,000 locations by 2030. As of early 2026, the brand had over 280 cafes open in North America, with 78 more leases signed for upcoming locations. To support this rapid growth, Paris Baguette is investing $160 million to build its first North American manufacturing plant in Burleson, Texas. The 260,000-square-foot facility is expected to begin production in 2027 and will create approximately 450 jobs.
