Nashville hosts Michelin ceremony
For the first time Michelin will hold its Guide Ceremony in Nashville between March 26 and April 1, spotlighting the city’s culinary scene and marking a major U.S. regional moment for the guide. Organizers say the move highlights the rising importance of America’s regional dining scenes in Michelin’s expansion. (nashvillescene.com)
The MICHELIN Guide has scheduled the 2026 MICHELIN Guide American South ceremony for the evening of Oct. 21 at The Pinnacle in Nashville. (ebs.publicnow.com) Organizers say chefs will be invited to discover whether their restaurants have received MICHELIN Stars and that attendance at the ceremony will be by invitation only. (ebs.publicnow.com) Nashville previously placed 21 restaurants in the inaugural MICHELIN Guide American South when the guide debuted on Nov. 3, 2025 in Greenville, South Carolina. (visitmusiccity.com) Three Nashville restaurants—Bastion, Locust and The Catbird Seat—each earned one MICHELIN Star in the American South selection announced in November 2025. (wpln.org) MICHELIN’s statement says the Guide intends to rotate the American South ceremony among different host cities and specifically cited Nashville’s entertainment culture, local food influences and culinary talent as reasons for the selection. (ebs.publicnow.com) The press release places the American South edition within a broader North American expansion that added Atlanta in 2023 and new regional guides including Texas and Mexico in 2024 and the Southwest in 2026.
