Amazon Archaeological Thriller Debuts

"The Lost Tribe" is the first installment in the Nick Randall archaeological thriller series by award-winning author Robert Rapoza. The protagonist, Dr. Nick Randall, is a former Special Forces Operator turned archaeologist, a character trajectory that has drawn comparisons to heroes from the works of Clive Cussler and the Indiana Jones franchise. The novel's plot centers on the very real historical mystery of Vilcabamba, the last refuge of the Inca Empire in Peru. After the Spanish conquest in the 16th century, this city served as the final stronghold of Inca resistance before it was abandoned and swallowed by the jungle. In the book, Randall's search for this lost city pits him against the villainous Francis Dumond, who seeks to control a powerful secret hidden within its ruins. Rapoza's series continues with "The Bermuda Connection," where Nick Randall and his son John, a bioengineer, uncover a conspiracy linked to a memory-erasing drug. The third book, "The Devil's Heart," sends Randall and his daughter on a quest through the Argentinian jungle and into the Vatican's catacombs to find a mysterious, powerful relic. The fourth book in the series, "The Washington Prophecy," delves into a conspiracy involving America's Founding Fathers, a mysterious book penned by George Washington, and a relic that could shift the course of history.
