The Pokémon GO Pokopia Celebration event, running from March 10th to March 16th, 2026, coincides with the release of Ditto's adventure on the Nintendo Switch 2. This tie-in introduces costumed Dittos to the game. Players can encounter Ditto wearing a hat and Ditto wearing a cap during the event. Bonuses include increased chances of encountering Shiny Sudowoodo and Shiny Zorua. The event features the "Pokémon Pokopia Timed Research" quest, offering rewards like Ditto Candy, Pikachu encounters, and Great Balls. Completing the Timed Research also grants 10,000 XP and Pikachu Pokopia stickers. Two new Collection Challenges are also available, with a deadline of March 16th at 8 p.m. local time to complete them and claim rewards. Spinning PokéStops yields double XP, and spinning a PokéStop for the first time gives x10 XP. Wild encounters during the event include Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu, with increased spawn rates. Raid battles feature Lapras, Snorlax, and Dragonite. Timed Research tasks include catching 25, 50, and 75 Pokémon, exploring 1km, 2km, and 3km, and spinning PokéStops. Rewards include encounters with Snorlax, Tangrowth, and costumed Dittos. A Ditto Eye Mask is available in the in-game shop, even after the event concludes. Players can also earn Celebration of Pokopia stickers by spinning PokéStops and Gyms.
