Sinn’s four new watches

Sinn usually sells watches that look like cockpit instruments or dive gear, so this week’s surprise was a pair that look more like something from a 1990s design studio than a rescue helicopter. The new 544 and 544 RS arrived on April 8, 2026, days before Sinn’s first-ever appearance at Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026. A Blog to Watch says the design pulls from the discontinued Sinn 244 from 1994 and from the long-running 144 chronograph family. Sinn gives both 544 versions 200 meters of water resistance, a sapphire crystal front and back, and an automatic Sellita SW200-2 movement with at least 60 hours of power reserve. The standard 544 uses a white seconds hand, while the 544 RS changes almost nothing except a red seconds hand, and that one detail is enough to make the RS read like the sportier sibling. The company says mixing luminous material into the ceramic form lets it pack in more glow than a traditional painted marker. The 308 Hunting Watch is a 40 millimeter field-style piece with an olive dial, a pointer date around the edge, and a moonlight display at 6 o’clock that is meant to show when natural moonlight is bright enough for hunting conditions. The old model was 44 millimeters and packed in chronograph counters, day, month, and 24-hour displays, while the new one cuts the clutter and keeps the case to 12 millimeters thick with 200 meters of water resistance and Sinn’s Ar-Dehumidifying Technology. It is a limited run of 100 pieces with Sinn’s SZ05 chronograph movement, and its key party trick is a 60-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, which is easier to read at a glance than the usual 30-minute counter because it works like a normal clock. The part collectors will probably remember is that the most stubbornly utilitarian brand in Germany just made its cleanest pitch yet at the old idea of an everyday luxury sports watch.
