Bucks Snap Four-Game Losing Streak
Milwaukee snapped their four-game skid with a convincing 113-99 victory over the Utah Jazz. The win was a much-needed morale boost for the Bucks, who had struggled defensively in recent games.
The losing streak was the worst in franchise history by combined margin of defeat, with the Bucks losing the four games by a total of 97 points. During the skid, Milwaukee's defense allowed opponents to shoot a blistering 54.3% from the field. Giannis Antetokounmpo spearheaded the turnaround with 27 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists in only 27 minutes on the court. This was just his third game back after a right calf strain caused him to miss the previous 15 contests. The win came against a struggling Jazz team that has now lost eight of its last nine games. Utah was shorthanded, playing without its leading scorer Lauri Markkanen due to a hip injury. Utah's offense was cold throughout the game, shooting just 34.4% from the floor and 12-for-49 from beyond the arc. Beyond Antetokounmpo, other Bucks flirted with triple-doubles. Ryan Rollins posted 13 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists, while Ousmane Dieng added 11 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds. The Bucks will try to build a new winning streak when they host the Orlando Magic on Sunday.
