Broadside Drops Control Freak Video
Broadside just released the official music video for "Control Freak" on Feb 27, showcasing polished production and emotionally charged lyrics. The video leverages bold, high-contrast aesthetics reflecting a broader trend in alt-rock towards visually driven storytelling. Early fan comments highlight the track's relatable themes of autonomy and self-doubt.
"Control Freak" is a track from the band's fifth studio album, "Nowhere, At Last," scheduled for release on April 10, 2026. This new record will be released through Thriller Records and is the follow-up to their 2023 full-length, "Hotel Bleu." The band describes the upcoming album as a combination of their previous four LPs while also being a step forward in their sound. The new music explores darker lyrical and musical themes, with vocalist Oliver Baxxter stating that the album draws inspiration from the sci-fi classic, *The Twilight Zone*. The music video for "Control Freak" was directed by Sam Link. It follows a series of other singles released from the forthcoming album, including "I Think They Know," "Warning Signs," "Blissed Out," and "Dark Passenger." Broadside has a packed 2026, with extensive touring planned. The band is hitting the road with acts like The Maine and Anberlin and will also be performing at the UK's Slam Dunk Festival in May.
