Teyana Taylor Jordan 3 Drops Tomorrow

The Teyana Taylor x Air Jordan 3 "Concrete Rose" is set for official release tomorrow, March 7, with new detailed images showcasing the shoe's pink and grey palette. This collaboration bridging music, streetwear, and sneaker culture is generating significant hype and likely to sell out fast.

This release is the second chapter in Taylor's collaboration with Jordan Brand, following the 2023 launch of the Air Jordan 1 Zoom CMFT 2, titled "A Rose From Harlem." That initial sneaker established the rose motif, drawing from her 2018 single "Rose in Harlem." The "Concrete Rose" theme is a direct reference to Tupac Shakur's poem, "The Rose That Grew from Concrete," symbolizing resilience and beauty emerging from harsh conditions. This narrative connects to Taylor's own journey and upbringing in Harlem. A standout feature of the design is its customizable element: the shoe comes with removable rose vine accents that wrap around the collar. This allows for a versatile look, shifting between a cleaner silhouette and a more decorated one. The shoe's construction features a forest green suede upper, a textured, concrete-like finish on the midsole, and pops of Fire Red. The design also includes gold hardware and retains the original Nike Air branding on the heel. With a retail price of $280, this is a women's-led release that will be available in extended sizes. This sizing strategy is consistent with how Jordan Brand has been positioning its collaborations led by female artists and designers. The official unveiling took place during NBA All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles at a special activation hosted by Taylor called “No Thorns, No Rose.” This event provided a deeper narrative context for the shoe's design and inspiration.
