Founded in 2012, UpGuard is a privately held firm that has raised a total of $121M, including a $75M Series C round in February 2026, to expand its AI-powered platform. The broader industry trend is a move toward AI-driven Cyber Risk Posture Management (CRPM) to provide a unified view of threats. Instead of just detecting vulnerabilities, these systems aim to automate the entire lifecycle of discovery, prioritization, remediation, and validation to counter increasingly automated attacks.
