RayNeo Unveils Air 4 Pro AR Glasses at MWC
AR wearables company RayNeo unveiled its new RayNeo Air 4 Pro smart glasses at MWC 2026, including a special "Batman Edition." The glasses have been available for purchase since February 27, signaling more competition in the consumer AR market.
The glasses are powered by a custom Vision 4000 processor, which enables real-time, AI-driven upscaling of standard dynamic range (SDR) content to near-HDR quality. This chip also handles the conversion of 2D videos into a stereoscopic 3D format, rendered at a resolution of 3840x1080. Under the hood, the Air 4 Pro features dual 0.6-inch Micro-OLED displays from SeeYa, delivering a 1920x1080 resolution per eye. They boast a peak brightness of 1200 nits and a selectable 120Hz refresh rate, specifications that position them competitively against pricier alternatives like the Xreal 1S. Audio is handled by a quad-speaker system co-tuned with Bang & Olufsen. The glasses incorporate a "Whisper Mode" designed to use phase cancellation to reduce sound leakage and enhance privacy in public settings. For developers, RayNeo provides multi-platform SDKs for its Air Series glasses, with support for both Android and Unity development. The platform exposes XR capabilities including 3-degrees-of-freedom (3DoF) tracking, image and plane detection, and a beta for gesture recognition. Connectivity is managed via a standard USB-C port, allowing for plug-and-play functionality as a wearable display for devices across macOS, iOS, Windows, and Android. However, some initial tests have reported audio routing issues when connected to MacBooks, defaulting to the laptop's internal speakers. While the Air 4 Pro offers a 47-degree field of view, competitors like the Viture Beast and Xreal 1S feature a wider 52 to 58-degree FOV. The key differentiator for RayNeo remains its display technology and aggressive $299 price point, undercutting the $450 Xreal 1S.
