MotoGP 26 Launches April 29

Milestone and MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group have announced MotoGP 26, launching April 29, 2026, on all major platforms. The game promises dynamic rider ratings, a revamped handling system, and an expanded career mode to deepen realism and player immersion.

Italian developer Milestone has been at the helm of the officially licensed MotoGP video game series since it acquired the license in 2013, releasing a new installment annually. The studio has a long history specializing in racing games, having been founded in 1994. The new dynamic ratings system will directly link the game to the real-world 2026 MotoGP season. Rider stats, based on four attributes—lap time, pace, head-to-head performance, and reliability—will evolve throughout the year to reflect the actual performance of the pros on the track. Major changes are coming to the physics with a new rider-based handling system. A rider's body animations and weight transfer will no longer be just visual; they will directly influence the bike's steering response and stability, especially during acceleration. The career mode will now be centered around a fully explorable 3D paddock. This hub will host new off-track activities, including Thursday press conferences to set goals or call out rivals, and a personal manager to handle contract negotiations. This year's entry builds on features introduced in recent predecessors, such as the "Riders Market" from MotoGP 24 which allows AI riders to swap teams between seasons, and the adaptive difficulty that adjusts to player performance. New content includes the addition of production motorcycles for the first time. The game also adds a new training area, Canterbury Park, which will feature disciplines like flat track and minibike racing, expanding on the off-road training options from MotoGP 25. Online multiplayer will support up to 22 players simultaneously through cross-play on most platforms. However, the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 versions will be limited to 12-driver grids and will not feature cross-platform play.
