Invincible Vs beta live
PlayStation is running an open beta for Invincible Vs on PS5 from April 9–11, featuring 10 playable fighters so you can try the roster and feel before release. (x.com)
If you have only seen Invincible as a television show, this game throws you into a very different version of it: a three-on-three fighting game where you build a team of superpowered characters and swap them in mid-match like a wrestling tag, except every hit can spray blood across the screen. PlayStation and Skybound opened the beta on Thursday, April 9, and the test runs until Saturday, April 11 at 9:00 p.m. Pacific Time on PlayStation 5. (blog.playstation.com) (invinciblevs.com) This is not a small demo with two characters and one stage. The beta includes 10 fighters, and the official roster for the test is Invincible, Atom Eve, Bulletproof, Thula, Rex Splode, Battle Beast, Omni-Man, Robot, Monster Girl, and Allen the Alien. (invinciblevs.com) (gamerant.com) The hook is the format. Invincible VS is built as a three-on-three tag fighter, which means you do not pick one hero and stick with them for a whole round; you rotate between three characters, extend combos with assists, and try to turn one opening into a long team sequence. (blog.playstation.com) (polygon.com) That structure puts it closer to games like Marvel vs. Capcom than to slower one-on-one fighters. Quarter Up, the studio making it, has said the goal is a “tournament-quality” fighting game first, with the Invincible license wrapped around it rather than a simple fan-service brawler. (polygon.com) (blog.playstation.com) The other thing setting it apart is tone. Robert Kirkman’s comic and the Amazon adaptation are famous for superhero fights that end with broken bodies and city-block damage, and Invincible VS leans into that with brutal finishers instead of sanding the world down into a clean all-ages arena fighter. (blog.playstation.com) (polygon.com) The beta is also doing more than stress-testing servers. The official FAQ says players can jump into online matches on console during a fixed window, and Xbox’s launch post says beta players can unlock a special Omni-Man skin tied to his recent animated-series look. (invinciblevs.com) (news.xbox.com) There is a platform wrinkle here. The full game is scheduled for April 30, 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and personal computer, but the open beta itself is limited to consoles, so PlayStation 5 owners are getting early hands-on access while personal computer players wait for launch. (blog.playstation.com) (invinciblevs.com) (news.xbox.com) That makes this weekend a real audition for what kind of fighting game this is. If the team chemistry feels sharp, the assists are readable, and characters like Omni-Man and Battle Beast feel distinct instead of just loud, Invincible VS has a shot at landing as more than a licensed tie-in when it releases on April 30.
