Kith x On Drops K-Tech Sneakers
Kith and On announced two exclusive shoe models — the K-Tech 1 and K-Tech 2 to launch a multiyear partnership. The K-Tech 1 targets performance running while the K-Tech 2 focuses on lifestyle markets, reflecting the ongoing fusion of technical function and streetwear aesthetics. NBA center Andre Drummond joined Stria Sports to launch an entire brand rather than just landing a signature shoe, aiming to build a legacy beyond individual releases.
The Kith and On partnership introduces two entirely new silhouettes, a significant step for Kith which often reimagines existing models in its collaborations. Both the K-Tech 1 and K-Tech 2 utilize On's signature CloudTec® cushioning and a dual-density Helion™ foam midsole for a responsive feel. The release, which coincides with Kith's 15-year anniversary, will be available globally on March 6, 2026, following a drawing on the Kith App. This collaboration is part of a larger trend of streetwear brands partnering with performance technology companies. On, a Swiss brand founded in 2010 by former Ironman champion Olivier Bernhard and his partners, has gained significant market share with its proprietary CloudTec technology, which was initially prototyped using sections of a garden hose. The brand now holds 40% of the running shoe market in Switzerland and 6.6% in the United States. Andre Drummond's venture with Stria Sport sees him take on the roles of creative director and investor, giving him direct input on product development and brand strategy. This move grants him an equity stake in the Chicago-based company, a deeper involvement than a typical endorsement deal. Drummond's first signature shoe is expected to be unveiled by the start of the next NBA season. Stria Sport, founded in 2021, has been building its credibility in the performance footwear space. The brand is the official footwear partner of the Harlem Globetrotters for their 100th-anniversary season and has been worn by over 100 professional basketball players. The company is also expanding into other sports, signing the top-ranked men's doubles pickleball player, Gabe Tardio.
