Walker, boasting a 15-1 record, is stepping into a new chapter of his career by joining Wise Owl Boxing. He previously signed a long-term promotional contract with Top Rank in March 2024. Bob Arum, chairman of Top Rank, praised Walker as a "sensational talent" with the potential to become a top contender. Before this deal, Walker suffered his first professional loss in April 2024 against Alejandro Guerrero. Guerrero secured a unanimous decision victory in the eight-round undercard bout. Walker had an impressive amateur record of 108-13 before turning pro in November 2019. Walker has expressed that boxing is more than just a sport to him, viewing it as a "religion" that keeps him focused and out of trouble.
