Anthropic said companies often start with its application programming interface, Claude Code, or Claude for Work, then expand those tools across more teams. Anthropic said the coding product, which became generally available in May 2025, had reached more than $2.5 billion in run-rate revenue by February 2026, and weekly active users had doubled since January 1. On April 6, Anthropic said it had signed a new agreement with Google and Broadcom for multiple gigawatts of next-generation tensor processing unit capacity starting in 2027, while saying Amazon Web Services remains its primary cloud provider and training partner. (anthropic.com) Anthropic also said Claude is available on Amazon Web Services Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Azure Foundry. That gives large companies a way to buy Claude inside cloud systems they already use for security, billing, and internal software. (anthropic.com) The comparison point is OpenAI, which said on March 31 that it is generating $2 billion in revenue per month, while Reuters reported on March 4 that OpenAI had topped $25 billion in annualized revenue at the end of February. Both companies are now telling investors that enterprise demand is a central revenue engine.
