ZTE Unveils AI-Focused Innovations at MWC 2026
ZTE is showcasing a suite of "full-stack" AI innovations at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The company is highlighting the integration of AI across its telecom and consumer products, including agentic connectivity, AI-powered cloud services, and smart home devices.
ZTE's presence at MWC 2026 is guided by its "All in AI, AI for All" strategy, an evolution of its previous "Connectivity + Computing" focus. The company is showcasing a portfolio spanning from infrastructure to applications, aiming for a deep integration of AI and information and communication technology. A key highlight is the push towards Level 4 autonomous networks, powered by ZTE's AI-native architecture. This is designed to create ultra-efficient mobile network infrastructure and open up new avenues for monetization by combining connectivity with AI. The company unveiled eight specific breakthrough achievements, including the AIR MAX for AI in mobile networks and a GigaMIMO 6G prototype boasting over 2,000 antennas. For data centers, ZTE's Elastic AIDC solution claims to cut construction time by 40% and improve energy efficiency by 25% through advanced cooling technologies. In the smart home sector, where ZTE already ships over 100 million units annually, the company is introducing Wi-Fi 8 CPE for the first time commercially. It is also showcasing an AI smart display with "Dual Brains and Dual Screens" and a new lineup of AI-powered cloud PCs. For personal devices, ZTE is positioning itself as an "AI-Native Phone Pioneer." This involves integrating AI at the hardware, software, and ecosystem levels, as seen in its new nubia M153 smartphone which features Doubao AI. The company's enterprise-level AI agent, Co-Claw, is designed to be integrated into the entire workflow of office work, research and development, and operations to enhance efficiency. This is part of a broader "AI Factory" full-stack solution aimed at optimizing the total cost of ownership for AI infrastructure.
