UFC 326 This Weekend
UFC 326 hits T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday, March 7, with Max Holloway rematching Charles Oliveira for the BMF title. Prelims start at 7 p.m. ET, main card at 9 p.m. ET on Paramount+. Fans are reliving Holloway's iconic KO called one of the greatest in UFC history while Oliveira hypes BMF Week.
The "BMF" title's lineage is as unique as its name. It originated not from a championship bout, but from a callout by Nate Diaz after his win at UFC 241, declaring himself the "baddest motherfucker in the game." This led to the inaugural BMF title fight at UFC 244 in 2019, where Jorge Masvidal defeated Diaz to become the first to hold the belt. Justin Gaethje later claimed the vacant title by knocking out Dustin Poirier at UFC 291. Holloway then captured the belt from Gaethje at UFC 300 with a knockout in the final second of the fifth round, a finish now considered one of the most iconic in UFC history. This weekend's main event is a rematch years in the making. Holloway and Oliveira first fought in August 2015. That bout ended anticlimactically just 1 minute and 39 seconds into the first round when Oliveira suffered a shoulder injury, resulting in a TKO victory for Holloway. Since their first meeting, both fighters have built legendary careers in different weight classes. Holloway went on to a long reign as the featherweight champion, while Oliveira captured the lightweight title and holds the UFC records for most submission wins (17) and most finishes (21). Holloway's path to this rematch has seen him permanently move up to the lightweight division. After his historic win over Gaethje, he successfully defended the BMF title against Dustin Poirier. Oliveira is looking to rebound and re-establish his dominance in the lightweight division. His recent record includes a first-round TKO victory over Beneil Dariush and a unanimous decision win over Michael Chandler. This fight represents a clash between two of the most exciting and respected fighters on the UFC roster.
