Resy Drops March NYC Hotlist

Resy's "Hit List" for March 2026 highlights must-try spots across NYC, from innovative Vietnamese tamales at Falansai to classic French at Martiny's and sushi standouts at Sushi Ishikawa. Their staff picks include personal favorites like Minetta Tavern and Hutong, plus new concepts blending global inspiration with local flair. The guides are curated for both locals and visitors navigating the ever-changing NYC dining scene.

Falansai, a Bushwick highlight, is helmed by chef Eric Tran, who draws upon his Vietnamese and Mexican heritage to create the menu. This unique culinary perspective is a result of his father's Vietnamese roots and his mother's Mexican background. Tran, an alumnus of the acclaimed Blue Hill at Stone Barns, took over the restaurant in 2020. Martiny's, located in a historic 1800s carriage house in Gramercy, is the first solo project from Takuma Watanabe, the former head bartender of the iconic Angel's Share. The bar's name is a nod to both the classic cocktail and the building's one-time tenant, sculptor Philip Martiny, who worked on the Washington Square Arch. The establishment has already garnered significant acclaim, including being named one of the World's 50 Best Bars. Sushi Ishikawa offers an innovative omakase experience led by chef Don Pham, a veteran of the NYC sushi scene with experience at renowned spots like Morimoto and O Ya. The restaurant, with locations on the Upper East and Upper West Sides, provides a personalized tasting menu that puts a creative twist on traditional sushi. The enduring appeal of Minetta Tavern, a Greenwich Village institution since 1937, lies in its preserved history and classic fare. Once a haunt for literary figures like Ernest Hemingway and E.E. Cummings, it was revamped by restaurateur Keith McNally in 2009 and is famous for its Black Label Burger, made with a custom blend from Pat LaFrieda. Hutong, part of the international Aqua Restaurant Group, brings a high-end, contemporary take on Northern Chinese cuisine to Midtown. The menu features elevated dim sum and signature dishes like Peking duck, served in a glamorous space inspired by 1920s Shanghai Art Deco.
