The Dallas Cowboys signed former Vikings defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard in free agency, adding veteran experience to their defensive front (heavy.com).
The deal reported is a one-year contract with a maximum value of $2.5 million, according to NFL Network reporting and media outlets citing the team announcement. (si.com) Bullard is 32 years old and will enter his 11th NFL season in 2026, per the Cowboys’ team release. New Orleans deployed him in 15 games last season with six starts, and he finished 2025 with 26 total tackles, four tackles for loss and two passes defensed. Across 131 career games, Bullard has recorded about 6.5 sacks and roughly 247 combined tackles, per his Pro Football Reference career totals. The Cowboys noted Bullard will reunite with defensive line coach Marcus Dixon, who coached him with the Vikings in 2024 when Bullard started all 17 games and posted 41 tackles and seven tackles for loss. Dallas framed the move as part of a broader front-seven overhaul this offseason — Bullard is one of seven external defensive additions and joins nose tackle Otito Ogbonnia and OLB Rashan Gary amid recent trades of Osa Odighizuwa and Solomon Thomas.
