Paris Baguette Opens New Texas Location
Bakery café chain Paris Baguette opened a new location in Richardson, Texas on February 27. The opening is part of the international brand's ongoing U.S. expansion, which now includes over 4,000 units worldwide.
Despite its French name, Paris Baguette was founded in South Korea in 1988 by the SPC Group. The company has an extensive global presence with the majority of its stores located in South Korea. The bakery-cafe chain has ambitious goals for the North American market, aiming to reach 1,000 locations in the U.S. and Canada by 2030. The company has seen significant recent growth, opening 77 new cafes in 2025 alone and reporting over five consecutive years of positive comparable sales growth. Texas is a key part of this expansion strategy. In addition to new cafes like the one in Richardson, the company is building its first North American manufacturing facility in Burleson, Texas. This $160 million investment is expected to create 450 jobs and will supply the growing number of cafes across the continent. The new Richardson location is the 25th in Texas and is operated by local franchisees Sweta Goyal, Puneet Mittal, Mamta Singhal, and Rajneesh Singhal. The two couples are longtime friends who are planning to open four more Paris Baguette locations in the area.
