PSYCHIC FEVER’s album announcement

Japanese dance-vocal unit PSYCHIC FEVER announced their second album, DIFFERENT, set for release July 10, and released a pre-add single called “I Got Ways” as a teaser. PSYCHIC FEVER is not dropping this album next month. They announced “DIFFERENT” on March 18 with a July 10, 2026 release date, which gives the group almost four months to turn one announcement into a full campaign. (ldh.co.jp) That long runway comes with a long gap in their album timeline too. “DIFFERENT” is billed as PSYCHIC FEVER’s second album and their first full album in four years after “P.C.F,” which arrived in July 2022. (billboard-japan.com) The group is a seven-member dance and vocal act under LDH JAPAN, with KOKORO, WEESA, TSURUGI, RYOGA, REN, JIMMY, and RYUSHIN in the lineup. LDH says the group debuted in July 2022 as the seventh act from the EXILE TRIBE collective. (ldh.co.jp) PSYCHIC FEVER spent the past two years building a bigger audience outside Japan instead of rushing straight into album two. Their official profile points to Asia-focused expansion from debut onward and singles like “Just Like Dat feat. JP THE WAVY” as part of that push. (ldh.co.jp) So “DIFFERENT” is being framed less like a surprise drop and more like a season-long rollout. Billboard Japan reported that the album took two years to plan and make, and that it will contain 10 tracks with different moods rather than one fixed sound. (billboard-japan.com) The release plan is built to keep fans engaged at several price points. There will be a digital edition, a standard compact disc, two first-print limited editions, and two LDH official shop editions that add exclusive goods for fan club buyers. (billboard-japan.com) One version turns the album into a live souvenir. Limited Edition A bundles the compact disc with a Blu-ray from the 2025 “EVOLVE” Japan tour stop at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo. (billboard-japan.com) Another version turns it into a merch object. Limited Edition B adds a 100-page photobook, and first-press copies across editions include one random photo card out of seven plus a serial number insert. (billboard-japan.com) The schedule around the album is already packed before July arrives. Release events start April 10, 2026, and the group’s “THE ROOTS” Japan tour runs through Osaka, Tokyo, Nagoya, Fukuoka, and Sendai in April. (billboard-japan.com) They also added a weekly radio slot to keep new material moving between tour dates. InterFM’s “PSYCHIC FEVER No Border Boundaries” started on April 1, 2026, with JIMMY and WEESA as regular disc jockeys every Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. (billboard-japan.com) By the time “DIFFERENT” lands on July 10, fans will have seen the album in at least four forms at once: a streaming release, a tour product, a collector package, and a weekly media storyline. That is a much bigger play than simply posting a track list and waiting for release day. (ldh.co.jp)
