Fragment Design x Converse Collab Teased

Hiroshi Fujiwara teased a Fragment Design x VA Tokyo x Converse collaboration, blending streetwear icons with a three-headed design reveal that got sneakerheads hyped. The tease has already generated over 8k views and significant buzz among streetwear enthusiasts. Meanwhile, Converse also dropped a Hello Kitty And Friends collection available now.

The upcoming collaboration is rooted in Hiroshi Fujiwara's long-standing relationship with Converse, which has seen the designer apply his signature minimalist aesthetic to several classic silhouettes over the years. Past projects under his Fragment Design label have included premium versions of the Chuck 70, Jack Purcell, and most recently, a 2023 take on the 1986 Weapon basketball sneaker. This new release is a tripartite effort with VA Tokyo, a concept store in Omotesando, Tokyo, also directed by Fujiwara. The store's name stands for "Various Artists," and it serves as a hub for exclusive collaborations with a range of high-profile brands, making it a fitting partner for a limited-edition sneaker drop. The teased images reveal all-white versions of two iconic models: the Chuck Taylor All Star and the Jack Purcell. The design is intentionally clean, focusing attention on a vertical heel tab that stacks the logos of Fragment Design, VA Tokyo, and Converse, unifying the three partners. While Fragment Design's collaborations with Nike's Jordan Brand have fetched four-figure resale values, his Converse projects tend to be more understated, yet still highly sought after. For example, the 2021 Fragment x Moncler x Converse Chuck 70s often sell for a premium on secondary markets, with prices ranging from $160 to over $275.
