Infobip Launches Enterprise-Grade 'AgentOS'
Global cloud comms platform Infobip has announced AgentOS, a managed orchestration solution for autonomous AI agents. The platform is designed for large-scale, cross-channel customer automation, signaling a major enterprise shift from simple chatbots to persistent agentic workflows. Experts note the move is toward "collaborative agentic ecosystems" with minimal human oversight.
Infobip's journey from a bootstrapped startup in Vodnjan, Croatia, to a global communications platform is a significant one. Founded in 2006 by co-founders Silvio Kutić, Izabel Jelenić, and Roberto Kutić, the company was self-financed until a 2020 funding round of over $200 million from One Equity Partners. Infobip has since grown to over 70 offices and reported revenues of €1.735 billion in 2023. The launch of AgentOS marks a strategic shift from Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) to more complex, autonomous AI-driven solutions. This move reflects a broader industry trend where agentic AI systems are designed to be proactive problem-solvers that can reason, plan, and execute tasks, unlike traditional chatbots which are primarily reactive and follow predefined scripts. Gartner predicts that by the end of 2026, 40% of enterprise applications will have embedded AI agents, a significant increase from less than 5% two years prior. For CTOs at B2B SaaS companies, this evolution underscores the need to be a strategic business partner, not just a technology leader. The modern CTO role increasingly involves aligning technology with business goals, understanding go-to-market strategies, and even influencing pricing models. This requires a deep understanding of how innovations like AI agents can create new revenue streams and enhance product offerings. In the adtech space, the deprecation of third-party cookies continues to be a major disruption, forcing a shift towards first-party data and alternative targeting methods like contextual advertising. This has led to a greater emphasis on privacy-compliant identity solutions and customer data platforms (CDPs). Programmatic advertising in 2026 is increasingly focused on AI for smarter targeting and bidding, with significant growth in channels like Connected TV (CTV). The UK tech ecosystem, particularly in London, remains a key hub for investment. In 2025, the UK secured its position as the second-highest funded tech market globally, with enterprise applications seeing a surge in investment. Late-stage funding has shown resilience, indicating investor confidence in more mature tech companies. The 2026 Formula 1 season will introduce significant regulation changes aimed at improving racing and sustainability. The new power units will feature a nearly 50/50 split between the internal combustion engine and electrical power, with the MGU-H being removed and the MGU-K's output significantly increased. The cars will also be smaller and lighter, with revised aerodynamics that eliminate DRS in favor of an active system. Additionally, all teams will use 100% sustainable fuels.
