Benn Faces Prograis on Fury Card

Britain's Conor Benn will face former champion Regis Prograis on the undercard of Tyson Fury's comeback fight this April. The bout marks Benn's first appearance under the Zuffa Boxing banner, as UFC's parent company expands into traditional boxing with the undefeated welterweight who has won 24 of 25 professional fights.

The April 11 event at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, headlined by Tyson Fury's return against Arslanbek Makhmudov, will be broadcast live on Netflix. This marks Fury's first fight in the UK since 2022, following two consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2024. Conor Benn's move to Zuffa Boxing is reportedly a one-fight deal worth around $15 million, funded by Saudi Arabian entertainment conglomerate Sela. This follows his departure from Matchroom Boxing, his promoter for his entire professional career. TKO Group, Zuffa's parent company, hopes this is the first of several "super fights" featuring Benn. The fight against Prograis will be contested at a catchweight of 150 pounds, as Benn moves down from the 160-pound middleweight limit he fought at in his recent bouts against Chris Eubank Jr. Benn is the WBC's number one-ranked welterweight contender and aims for a world title shot in 2026. Regis Prograis, a 37-year-old southpaw from New Orleans, is a two-time former world champion at super-lightweight, having held the WBA and WBC titles. His professional record stands at 30 wins and 3 losses, with 24 of his victories coming by knockout. This bout marks a return to a London ring for Prograis, who previously fought at The O2 Arena in 2019 on a card where Conor Benn was featured in an undercard fight. Prograis is coming off a unanimous decision win against Joseph Diaz in August 2025, but lost two of his three fights prior to that against Devin Haney and Jack Catterall. Benn's ability to fight in the UK remains controversial, as his provisional suspension was reimposed by UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) and the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) following successful appeals in May 2024. He has been fighting in the US with a foreign boxing license.
