Pi Day — Pi projects roundup
To mark Pi Day, the Raspberry Pi Foundation showcased standout projects across robotics, home automation and art — a good source of inspiration for weekend builds and prototype ideas gallery. If you’re prototyping automations or sensor arrays, the collection is full of practical blueprints you can fork.

Brompton’s London factory runs “over 100” Raspberry Pi single-board computers and first introduced Pi devices on its production line in 2013 [electronicsweekly.com]. The Arribada Initiative’s conservation tag uses a Raspberry Pi Zero with an official camera module, a PiRA power-management board and dual lithium cells in a waterproof enclosure in field trials first reported in 2017 [raspberrypi.com]. MIT’s Pi Day short “Beaverheimer,” a student-made Oppenheimer parody starring MIT’s beaver mascot, was published for Pi Day 2024 by MIT Admissions on 14 March 2024 [raspberrypi.com].
