ASSA ABLOY Acquires Sennco Solutions

Global lock and security giant ASSA ABLOY has acquired Sennco Solutions, a U.S. provider of asset protection technology. Sennco specializes in retail security solutions, particularly for the health and beauty sector.

Plainfield, Illinois-based Sennco Solutions posted sales of approximately $33 million in 2025 with a strong EBIT margin. The acquisition, announced on March 3, 2026, is expected to be immediately accretive to ASSA ABLOY's earnings per share. Founded in 2000, Sennco and its roughly 40 employees will be integrated into ASSA ABLOY's Global Solutions business area, specifically within its Retail division. This move aims to leverage Sennco's expertise in anti-theft technology. This purchase is consistent with ASSA ABLOY's long-term growth strategy, which has seen the company complete nearly 400 acquisitions since its formation in 1994. In 2024 alone, the security giant made 26 acquisitions, which added a combined SEK 8 billion in annualized revenue. The Sennco deal follows other strategic acquisitions in the U.S. retail security and high-security sectors, including the January 2025 purchase of InVue, a provider of connected asset protection solutions. ASSA ABLOY President and CEO Nico Delvaux called the Sennco acquisition "an exciting technological addition that will reinforce our current offering within the Retail business area, and provide complementary growth opportunities."
