ARCOmadrid 2026 just ended with 95,000 visitors and over 200 participating galleries Art takes over Madrid: ARCO 2026 closes with 95,000 visitors and consolidates Art Week - Bonart. It's a major event for emerging artists and curators.

ARCOmadrid 2026, the 45th edition of Spain's International Contemporary Art Fair, featured a special section called "ARCO2045: The Future for Now," curated by José Luis Blondet and Magalí Arriola. This section, located in halls 7 and 9 of IFEMA, invited attendees to contemplate the evolution of art and preview creative concepts for the decades to come. Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) supported the fair by facilitating the participation of over 130 international curators, museum directors, and critics. The goal was to encourage collaboration with the Spanish art scene and promote Spanish talent. Hiuwau Chu (MACBA, Barcelona), Semíramis González (La Laboral, Gijón), and Blanca de la Torre (IVAM, Valencia) participated in meetings to strengthen ties between national and international institutions. Several awards were presented at ARCOmadrid 2026. Selebe Yoon received the 12th Opening. New Galleries Award, with a special mention for Spiritvessel. Proyectos Ultravioleta won the Lexus Award for Best Stand and Artistic Content. Elvira González Gallery received the 2nd Juana de Aizpuru Award.
