Bosc Restaurant Opens in Former Zudar's Location

A new restaurant named Bosc has opened on Platt Street in South Tampa, replacing the former delicatessen Zudar's. The establishment offers dinner, sushi, and a late-night menu available until 2 a.m.

- The new restaurant, Bosc Modern Bar + Kitchen, is operated by Main Street Entertainment Group, a hospitality company led by veteran Kevin Enderle. Their portfolio includes Sullivan's Steakhouse in Austin and Clasico Italian Chophouse in Sarasota. - The culinary program is led by Chef Partner Raymond Ortiz, who was most recently with Forbici Modern Italian. The sushi and raw bar are managed by Head Sushi Chef Kieng-si, Kiengxai Chittavong. - While currently focused on dinner and late-night service, Bosc plans to add brunch and lunch in the coming weeks. - The Zudar's name has a long history in Tampa, with the family first opening a restaurant on Davis Islands in 1959 and operating at several other locations over the decades. - The specific location at 201 W. Platt St. became Marc and Didi Zudar's Deli Cafe and Caterers around October 2003, where it was situated next to the Publix at Platt and Bayshore Boulevard. - Bosc's menu will feature premium steaks, house-made pasta, artisan pizzas, flatbreads, and fresh seafood, distinguishing it from the delicatessen menu of its predecessor.
