Peloton Partners With YouTube TV

Peloton is integrating live television into its workout experience through a new partnership with YouTube TV. Subscribers will now be able to watch live TV directly on their Peloton devices. The move blurs the lines between entertainment and exercise, aiming to boost user engagement and workout adherence.

This partnership is a key part of Peloton's broader "Peloton Entertainment" strategy, which officially launched in November 2023 with NBA League Pass. The addition of YouTube TV was announced on December 26, 2023, making it the latest major streaming service to be integrated directly into Peloton's Bike, Tread, and Row machines. This initiative is spearheaded by Gwen Bethel Riley, Peloton's Senior Vice President of Music and Content Partnerships. To access YouTube TV, members need a Peloton All-Access subscription, which costs $44 per month, in addition to a separate YouTube TV subscription for $72.99 per month. The integration offers over 100 live channels, including major networks like ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and ESPN. This move is designed to increase the value proposition of Peloton's hardware and drive user engagement. The introduction of more entertainment options aligns with Peloton's observation that its members are engaging in longer workouts. In early 2026, Peloton reported a 7% year-over-year increase in the average workout time per connected fitness subscription, indicating a demand for more diverse content to keep users engaged during extended sessions. Peloton's push into entertainment is a strategic effort to retain its approximately 6.4 million members and differentiate itself from competitors. While other fitness brands like NordicTrack (iFit) and Echelon (FitOS) also offer on-screen entertainment, Peloton's seamless integration of live TV and popular streaming services aims to provide a more premium and immersive experience. The "Peloton Entertainment" hub also includes apps like Netflix, Max, and Disney+.
