The lakes are renowned for trout fishing, stocked annually with rainbow, brown, brook, and Lahontan cutthroat trout, and kokanee salmon. Upper Twin Lake held the state record for the largest brown trout caught in 1987. Fishing season runs from late April through mid-November.
