Ondo Brings Tokenized US Stocks to Binance
RWA protocol Ondo Finance has partnered with Binance to give global users access to tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, including Apple, Nvidia, and Tesla. The integration enables 24/7, blockchain-based trading of U.S. equities using stablecoins, setting a new standard for secondary market liquidity in the RWA space.
Ondo's tokenized securities are now accessible on Binance, a move that significantly expands their reach to a global user base outside of the United States. This partnership marks Binance's re-entry into the tokenized stock market after halting similar offerings in 2021 due to regulatory pressures. The collaboration received regulatory approval from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority in Abu Dhabi. The initial offering includes ten tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, featuring major tech names like Apple (AAPLon), Google (GOOGLon), Tesla (TSLAon), and Nvidia (NVDAon), as well as the Invesco QQQ ETF (QQQon). These tokens are listed on Binance Alpha, a platform within the Binance Wallet that provides early access to innovative projects. Each token is fully collateralized by the corresponding underlying security. Since its launch in September 2025, Ondo Global Markets has seen significant growth, with its Total Value Locked (TVL) surpassing $550 million and cumulative trading volume exceeding $11 billion. The platform's goal is to mirror what stablecoins did for the dollar, but for securities, offering instant, 24/7 access. This integration is part of a broader trend of institutional adoption of Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenization. The tokenized RWA market saw substantial growth in 2025, with tens of billions of dollars in real assets now on the blockchain. This growth is driven by the demand for greater capital efficiency and shorter settlement cycles. Ondo's tokenized assets are designed as total return trackers, meaning the token's value reflects the full return of the underlying asset, with dividends being reinvested. The tokens are backed 1:1 by securities held at U.S.-registered broker-dealers. Binance has been strategically expanding its RWA offerings. In July 2025, the exchange began supporting tokenized RWAs like Circle's USYC and OpenEden's cUSDO as off-exchange collateral for institutional clients. This allows institutions to use yield-bearing tokenized assets for trading on Binance while maintaining custody externally.
