Link11 Launches AI Traffic Dashboard
Cybersecurity firm Link11 has launched a new "AI Management Dashboard" to help companies manage internet traffic generated by artificial intelligence. The tool aims to provide better control and visibility over the increasing volume of non-human traffic from AI systems.
- For the first time in 2024, automated bot traffic surpassed human activity, accounting for 51% of all web traffic. Malicious bot traffic alone rose to 37% of all internet traffic. - The nature of this traffic is shifting from data scraping for model training to real-time information retrieval by tools like ChatGPT and Gemini, a category known as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) which saw a 33% increase in traffic. - This shift impacts businesses by reducing direct website visits; click-through rates from AI applications to the websites they source information from fell dramatically from 0.8% to 0.27% in the latter half of 2025. - Advanced AI-generated invalid traffic can effectively mimic human behavior, which corrupts the audience data and analytics that companies rely on for making business decisions. - The growth in AI-driven threats and traffic is creating new specialized cybersecurity roles such as AI Security Analyst, AI Threat Analyst, and AI Governance & Ethics Officer. - Demand for professionals with hybrid AI and cybersecurity skills is expanding, with roles related to AI-powered threat intelligence projected to grow by more than 25% annually through 2027. - The launch of AI-focused dashboards is becoming an industry trend for managing these new challenges, with Microsoft recently launching a similar "Security Dashboard for AI" to provide unified risk assessment.
